We are about 1hr west of Madison and an 1hr south of Lacrosse. You won't need any clear coat if you use an enamel paint. I usually don't mix by the ratio on the can. I mix it until the consistency looks right to me. Just the way I was tought maybe not the right way but never had any problems spraying or with fading. Spray your first coat as a "see-through" coat meaning you can still see your primer through it then the second coat a little heavier then the third coat spray it like you want to see it. You won't need any primer if you don't fix any dents or scratches but if you have bare metal you will need primer. Just get some from your local auto parts store. Have a good one.
