Just how slow is it idealing at ?? the white smoke cluld mean low compression . How much blow by ?? whats the pump timing ??? How well does it start cold ???? The DT 361 is not and engine for the novice . I even cringes when working on one . One word of advice DO NOT TRY AND SET THE VALVES with the engine running. Good way to have a valve get to know a piston .
