I was able to pick up a 9 speed M this afternoon and have some questions for those out there more knowledgeable than I... I know M&W made both lever and cable actuated versions and this particular model is the cable engaged. At some point the cable had broke off in the bellhousing and the previous owner had rigged up a lever style out the top where the belt pulley drive once was. My question is what do you think I should do? try to get a new cable or convert it to the lever out the side of the case style??
