Just got in from feeding this morning. Got the big 4x4 green tractor stuck once and a pickup stuck a couple times busting drifts. The wind was blowing the snow so hard you couldn't see to tell where the deep stuff was in the hills. They reported 15 inches about 20 miles south of us in Thedford NE, we probably have about the same here. Starting to clear off now though and the highway's melting off pretty fast.
Like Cowman said, good thing it's warm! We're pretty much done calving, about 40 left out of around 650 head still to go...didn't have any cattle problems from this storm except getting around to feed 'em. Supposed to be in the high 60's by Sunday, so the water's gonna be running! Glad we live in the Sandhills and not someplace where there's gumbo mud!!!
