Provided the 706 did not have the hex axle housing they will work without modification. Not familiar with the 706, I have heard that the later ones had the square housing. I have the fenders from the hex axle 706 on my 460, but I cut the hex part off and had a flat plate welded on. I have not seen them side by side either but I think all are the same except for the attaching points.
