My I&T manual states...
"release lever height from friction face of pressure plate to release bearing contacting surface on release levers"
...should be 2 3/8 inches.
My just-out-of-the-box plate from IH measures some 3 1/4 inches in that exact dimension. Dumb-*ss that I am, I left my old pressure plate at IH, so I have nothing to compare.
It"s a BIG difference. And the "adjusting" bolt and "lock" nut have yellow paint over them, as though they were not to be moved.
