Keith: Drilled 11/16" holes in my piece of 1" x 2" flat bar got the 5/8" all thread, and the crank pulley is on. I put the fan on with belt, looks to be placed perfect. I didn't use a hydraulic bottle jack either pulling or putting it back. I had a 1" fine thread bolt with 5" of thread with 1"+ hole through center of both puller and pusher. In the past I've had problems using bottle jacks horizontal, had two that did what I wanted at the time, but never jacked again.
Anyhow thanks for all the advice, and a special thanks to Keith. Oh, I did have the pulley hanging about a foot above a convection heater beside me untill it was warm to bare fingers. I think more folks should take a close look at Keith's photos. I'm not a mechanic, just an old farmer, but and old mechanic years ago told me, "Never hammer on a CRANKSHAFT."
