Thanks so much for you help and advice. I got the electrical diagrams and found one that matches my unit perfectly. Thank you so much. It is a weird little unit. Haven't started it in a week, expected it to be dead as usual, but it fired right up today. Then after working the drive, parked it and it was dead. I'm getting tired of using the battery charger, so the info should help alot.

By the way, when the battery goes dead or I have to disconnect the batt cables, I always polarize the Gen. But I noticed last week that even with the key off, there is power between those two leads on the voltage regulator. I don't think that is right, and could be part of draining/no charge problem. Anyway, thanks again!
