The operator"s manual says, "One-sixth of oil can as furnished with tractor." Doesn"t say how big the can is, but you can imagine a typical oil can from the 30s. Total capacity might be a pint? There are two troughs under the rocker cover, each with two felts that absorb the oil poured in, then let it drip slowly over the rocker shafts and down to the valves. Used on all tractors with this type engine until 1939 model change. Pretty primitive, but it worked if the driver just put some oil in there every day. Use same oil as engine, because it will eventually drip down into crankcase. When I used these tractors, I oiled generously twice a day. Takes just a few seconds.
