I have an H Farmall that has an F 10 Loader that I use for light duty work & snow removal. Last summer I went to move it and it developed a rattle or grinding noise in reverse. I shut it down. I drained the trans fluid & put new in (this had not been done in a Loooong time!) and drove it around a bit in low gear. The noise went away. It stayed gone until recently when I ran it in 3rd rather than low. It returned. Then it stopped. Before I could diagnose the problem (have someone listen to it), it came back really loud while it was in neutral & sitting still and the tractor died. With the clutch in you can start and run it but if you try release the clutch it dies. Any idea what went wrong???? Or.....does anyone need a good running H engine and a wide front??? Please help.
