Greg, I had trouble here in finding someone who was willing to try and weld cast-iron. I have a short crack in my crank-pulley, and since it's a balanced piece, I didn't want the piece to break off, (though it likely wouldn't amount to a hll of beans), but I found a shop that was willing to do it, but I'm getting it back tomorrow so I don't know how he did yet. Is this the problem in your area, them not wanting to weld cast?
It needed a speedy-sleeve too, and I got one at NAPA, though I'm sure you've checked there.
BTW, did you find pistons for your block? I asked, but the tractor salvage by me didn't have them. Or were you able to fix the originals?
