Read your post a couple of days ago, & since no-one has answered, I'll give my $.02 worth. I have a Wauk, 4 cyl power unit Which I had to remove the lower radiator discharge pipe for some reason. Of course, the stud broke off, & I had to drill the stud out. Didn't get it straight, & had to put in a 3/8 stud to make it work.
I believe your stud has been put in with JB weld or some such thing. As far as the stud going into the block, I don't think so--I believe it's a blind hole/ thread.
