YOu can prettymuch rock it as hard as you can by hand. I would only avoid this if the engine was near TDC when it stopped. In that position the rod angle is so shallow that things could get bent or distorted. If you cannot see the pistons in any cylinder, rock it as hard as you can (by hand). JimN
