First, some background: My '44 H has been sitting for 10 years. It has an aftermarket start button, on/off toggle switch, solenoid, and voltage regulator. It has a distributor on it.
I've bought a new "stock" starting button and Original Pull on/Push off switch (two prong for the distributor).
I'm going to pull off the solenoid and the aftermarket buttons and install the regular switches. I've recently learned that I don't need the generator and Voltage Regulator to get the tractor running.
So, how should I wire the tractor now, just to get it running? I am unsure of the condition of the VR, so I don't know whether to include it in the system or not. Maybe I should get the charging system and VR tested to see if they work, and include them if they do?
