I had the same problem with my H. It turned out to be a slight bend in that shaft so I replaced it with one from the salvage yard. By the looks of things at the salvage yard the H's had a problem with that shaft as most of them had been removed. It took me some time to get the old one apart and a very large hammer but the replacement shaft went in easily.
