I don't know what kit you used, but TSC sells a "complete" kit for about 35 dollars. It includes the packing and a new needle, and everything else. Your IH dealer has just the packing for about 5 dollars. It's p/n 24703DA. When you drop it in the orfice it will be just barely below the threads. Be careful to install needle and seat together to compress it, until there is medium pressure on the needle. Then run the needle all the way in, EASY, and then back out 3 1/2 turns for basic setting.
