I just overhauled my 1952 Super A hydraulic block and installed new o-rings and gaskets. I cleaned the block and parts after disassembling. I followed the I&T manual and some advice on this forum to complete the overhaul. After I put everything back together and a couple of days later, I noticed the control valves are leaking around the new boots. I installed the new o-rings on the control valve rod and used new hydraulic fluid to lube them before putting them on rod. I also rotated the rod as I installed to prevent damage to o-rings.
Anyone got any ideas what could have happened? I bought the kit from a CaseIH dealer so the o-rings looked okay to me plus I matched them up to old ones. They were a little difficult to stretch over the rod initially but went into the grooves okay.
