Hi Ron, I saved suggestions by Bernard from Quebec as he has worked on many of these models as a mechanic at CIH. Here is his Diff Lock reply: Differential Lock:
If the differential lock is stuck locked or it doesn't lock. Check the pedal for free movement, it has a shaft that actuates the lock fork, the shaft is below the hitch cover and the link from the pedal hooks on it. Often it has rust on the shaft where it turns in the rear housing. Try to spray a good lube on the shaft or you may have to lift the cover and remove the shaft and clean it. Usually you can release the Diff lock by driving slowly in a straight line, lift up on the foot pedal and tap the left brake pedal then the right brake pedal enough to make the brake grab.
