A friend of mine wants a tractor bad. He is looking at a MF 65 but the 3pt lift won't work. I told him about some tractors at a auction. We went to see them and I took pictures of the Farmall 230 and the SC. They also had a Ford 4000. The ford brought 7500.00
The super C was a very nice looking tractor. It had a Bean cutter on it but no fast hitch, and it brought 1750.00
The 230 was rough. The gas tank was beat in bad and the rest of the sheet metal was rough. It came with a bean cutter, fast hitch, and a fast hitch draw bar. The 230 would not idle and run the hydraulics at the same time. It had to be revved up pretty high for the touch control to work and the engine died when the FH lever was moved. It brought 1450.00
My buddy didn't get one today. He wants one like mine for 100.00 bucks. Ron
