You could cut the gasket to install then use plenty of sealer. If you support the front you could remove the cap screws that hold it together seperate the two halves enough to get the new gasket in. The other way is removing the drag link on the bottom and it will come off as you take the two halves apart. To do this you will need to remove the pin that leets the front axle move then the bottom will crop off either way its a messy job with the sector packed with grease. If i am going to work on them for a rebuild i take wheels off disconnect the drag links then remove the whole axel. Ive done several last few yrs for ones i was selling and repair work for others as the word has got around that i can rebuild them and then they are like new again. It is easier than when i did the first one but always messy with the grease.
