If its a 6 volt battery its probably positive grounded. You should be able to tell by your battery cables. Since the pos terminal is larger see if it is being used as the ground cable.
Those tractors were made when vehicles were changing from 6 to 12 volt systems. Post the number off the generator and look to see if the voltage is on there. Hal
