Charles, a D282 will absolutely tear the transmission and rear end of that tractor up, even if it was an easy swap. If the wheels don't slip, something else will.
Well, it kinda is an easy swap if you don't mind extending the frame rails some. Sounds like that'd be a walk in the park for you, and it probably would look factory by the time you were done...
But, that's adding more weight to the front end, and reducing your practical lifting capacity too. IMHO, 2800lbs is about double what you should be trying to lift with this loader at the absolute maximum.
