Hey I'm trying to find these pictures of a hydraulic pump mounted on the side of the Farmall H using a belt drive but I can't seem to find them. Could you help me find those pix?
The weight and rear length of the mower, and the size of the cylinder on the 3point.
Four recommendations.
Increase the area of the cylinder by 50% (A= pi X radius squared). This is probable easiest.
Use a spring balance to remove apparent weight from the mower. How to attach, and where to anchor for assist is a bit harder.
Attach a hydraulic pump to the belt pulley mechanism (I recommend a pump that would be next to the drive, and powered by a cog belt drive to eliminate maintenance)
Or use a front crankshaft driven live power pump.
(I think there are images of several in the archives on Hs) JimN[/quote]
