Those Farmhands busted 'em. A fact of life back then. Didn't start happening until around '53 or '54; something like that. That's when we learned how to gusset the darned things to keep it from happening.
But, those old Farmalls were dropping like flies all over the place and people just accepted it for what it was worth. An occurance.
