Now you can take the crank and turn the engine over a little before starting and then you will have the starter meshing on good teeth. You can also when you stop the engine just turn the engine over a little with the crank then the starter will be on good teeth when you use the starter again. Its that or splitting and reversing the ring gear or just replacing it. Use a torch and it will remove easy and same for installing. Then you need a good bendix on your starter to mesh with the good teeth on the new ring gear. I would get a new starter for the guy on E-BAY he is located in SOUTHERN MINN and has brand new starters for 130 to your front door that way you have a new bendix also one yr warranty can go wrong i have used them and they are great.
