Bad cam gear indeed! I've had a couple cam gears let go and cause knocking just as described.
If the Super H is a Stage 2 (it has live hydraulics...) try loading the hydraulic system with the engine idling. If there's a noticeable change in the knocking sound - or if it disappears - when the hyd pump is loaded it's highly likely the cam gear hub has broken.
