Jim the vertical distributor was an aftermarket when someone converted from magneto. My grandpa's 1941 H is like that. I would suspect on the oil pressure that the gasket in the pump is leaking. That gasket is paper thin. Yes the oil pressure drops after you warm up but no more than maybe 10-15 psi on my 3 Hs. On the water pump, additional packing material should stop the leaking.
