Yeah I saw the post about distilate and kero being the same, but what we got here were'nt the same. They used kero in the old GM diesels at the sawmills and gristmills around here. Our kero and #1 diesel was the same, but distilate was "trash gas" they called it. The GM would burn the distilate a while but it was'nt oily enough and the diesel would gald a piston and sleeve, it would also gum up an Alladin kero lamp and ruin the mantle, and stink so bad you would rather sit in the dark when using in a regular wick lamp or lantern.
