Very strange. I have a Super H that floods every once in a great-great while. Usually when I forget and park it in the field facing downhill. When it does, I pull the throttle lever wide open and hit the starter. It coughs a time or two, and then gradually catches and takes off with a great roar, while emitting black smoke. Then, it clears up. Never fails to start. Two completely opposite remedies for the same problem! Crazy. One thing we do the same, though. I never use the choke to start one of mine. Only time I use the choke is to keep it running after it starts. mike durhan
