Glenster is on the track. It needs to be tested while it is in the non operational status, just as soon as it stops.
If it will crank, but will not start, and lights do light, it is either a wire or connection from the Key to the coil/ballast, or a bad ballast, or a bad coil. it could be points/condenser, but less likely. If it will not crank, and the lights do not work, it is in the Battery cables/connections, or the wire/connections to the Amp meter from the solenoid, or the meter's output terminal, or the meter itself.
