when you say it loses all electrical power, do you loose the lights and everything? if so and the battery doesnt need a charge after an hour of sitting, sounds like a bad connection somewhere. get a 12volt test lite and start tracking down the electrical system. when the tractor dies, and wont restart, go to the ignition coil and check there for voltage. if there is none present, start following that wire back thru the loom and check all connections till you get to the battery. clean and check both battery terminals, recheck battery ground cable to chassis. it may also be a problem with the ignition switch too.
