The 656 was available with gasoline, LP, or Diesel engines and a choice of 3pt hitch, 2pt Fast Hitch, or standard drawbar. Most were sold with the optional flat top fenders but a few were sold with the headlights mounted on the cowling and either clamshell fenders or no fenders. PTO was an option but almost every 656 was sold with one.
