I need to know what oil to use in the following areas (don't have a repair manual yet)
engine
governor
PTO housing
I know the gearbox uses Hytran (I think I spelled that right), but how do you check it? I can't find a dipstick or sight glass anywhere. Is there a filter in the hydraulic system?
Also I still haven't found the serial number. I have been told (and read on here) that it is on the left or right side of the clutch or transmission housing. I have been all over this thing and connot find it. Where is it EXACTLY? Is it cast or stamped into the metal or is it an attached tag? I have found something that may be it on the FWD RH side of the transmission, but there is so much paint buildup I can't make anything out. I want to take some lacquer thinner to it but am afraid I may wash the printing away if it is not stamped in.
Sorry for all of the questions, but I haven't ordered a manual yet and I am trying to get this thing going before my vacation ends.
