Sounds like you got it in 2 gears at the same time. Pull the pin out of the shifter and pull it straight up. Look down in there with a light and see if the slides are all lined up. look close...there are 6 of them. Ones on the right side are hard to see. If they are ok, you have bent something or got something bound up.
