How does it shift when the engine is not running? Repair any worn linkages to get it shift smoothly.
Make sure all the cab mounts are in good shape. Check to see that you have the clutch linkage pivot mounted to the cab and not the clutch housing. Yours may be new enough to have come that way from the factory. Make sure all the clutch adjustments are as they should be. Get in the habit of lifting the pedal a little bit off the floor when actually moving the shift levers. That releases the transmission brake to relieve any windup on the transmission gears.
