Well we packed up the caseroles and gifts and drove 2 hours to Kansas City, the last half in sleet. Ate, opened gifts, said our goodbys and drove back in ice, sleet, rain, snow, and wind. Dodged slow drivers, speeding drivers, ignorant driver, chunks of ice, wrecks, etc. Got home and fed my wifes lunkhead horses, in the aforementioned weather, in the dark, and just got back in the warm. I went in through the basement to take off my boots and looked at my beagle, sleeping on his cushion by the electric heater and thought about the ole saying about not fit out for man or beast. I think my beast is smarter than I am!
