They are about as BULLET PROOF as they can be , as for how much fuel that they will suck up depends on just what your doing with it it can sip fuel or it can suck it down . Back when they were built people were not that fuel concerned as today . As for my owen 806 diesel she has the wick turned up a bit and can suck down over five gallon and hour if you are working it hard .
