If there is gas coming out the carb, then it is either leaking a little or you choked it too much. I shut mine off everytime I use them. Gas is just way too high to risk having the big leak that is bound to happen at some point. It is just good insurance, especially if you keep them in a shed for fire reasons. (like if it leaks overnight and your air compressor kicks on, POOF)If you are going to run it this winter just put thinner oil in the cup. Something like 20wt or 10-30 would be ok, even AT transmission fluid would work fine for winter. If it is going to sit all winter just wait for warm weather and change it in case water or snow blew in the intake or condensation happened.
