how fresh is your gas? when's the last time you dumped out the sediment bowl? and checked the fuel flow speed to the carb?
those solenoids SUCK. listen for one solid click from it, multiple clicks are bad, so is no click. if your wiring is bad, rewire it, as you will lose the solenoid that way too. nothing wrong with a wire direct from the ign switch if unsure of your wiring.
what is the status of your air filter? clogged, dirty filters will give all sorts of fits we assume to be fuel..
also, is this a gear, hydro, farmall or international model? (90% the same anyway, but some minor differences)
