Weld a piece of keystock that fits the slot to a large nut. A quick burst from an impact will then easily spin the coupler off. Been a while since I've done this particular seal, but I think you then remove the small capscrews holding the seal in place and simply replace the seal. Seems to me that there may be another seal up there someplace you might as well change while you are in there... can't really remember, but by looking it should be self-evident.
