At the front right side of the engine (in front of the distributor) there is a large diameter cast iron cap with two cast wings on the top. with an adjustable wrench, gently turn this CCW looking down at it. The fill is to the top petcock in the oil pan. when it comes out there, it is full. If it will not come out the bottom, it needs a quart. (of course it is necessary to open them to check level) JimN
