Lik eon guy said IH 384 were built until 1982, had a 4 cyl engine (had glow plugs) decent tractor, needed a better braking system. brakes were an issue and required regular mauinetence. Brake housings were located on the left and right side of rear end housing. Ih 434, 444 and 384 were basically the same tractor and parts both new and used should be in good supply. Steering was a single cylinder on the left side with a drag link across the front. It worked! Tonnes of them sold over the years, so go for it !
