Don't think all O-4 had the low speed low,there was a serial # break. If you have the O-4 low to put in a H you will need to use the lower shaft and all the gears,reverse idler gear and all gears on top shaft,they will work on the H main shaft. The O-4 main shaft will have a different ratio than a H one,also the rear mainshaft bearing cage is different between tractors. O-4 transmission gears in a H will make 3rd and 4th faster. also some O-4 had the faster than standard 4th gear and it would make a H over 7 MPH in 4th if used.Only way to keep a H standard 3rd and 4th speed would be to use parts from a low low for a H tractor or modify the standard H 3rd and 4th speed driving gear for use with the other gears on the O-4 counter shaft.
