agrivest The 1486 can have 1 of 2 kinds of pumps the early ones have gear pump the late have a piston pump. I only have experence with the gear type. The tractors with gear pump have 2 pumps one for MCV and one for remote and 3 PT hitch, make sure that the pto is not turnning to fast,maybe the wrong pto drive shaft off the clutch.If you are having trouble with pumps. I would first check the pump drive gear fit to the gear on the pto drive shaft the drives the pumps. Some tractors have a shim gasket between pump mout plate and the housing thet bolt to.Get a gauge to check remote pressure, because the 1486 would be around 2250 psi. Hard to believe both pump reliefs that high.
