If you have tractor split in front of transmission case, remove the bolts from main shaft rear bearing cage. Then push shaft and bearing cage to front(watch the shims behind bearing cage)when it clears at rear move shaft into a position to be lifted out the top. Don't know what your doing but shaft can be removed from rear also. Bull gear has to be moved out of way and differential removed. main shaft bearing retainer and the snap ring on shaft moved forward. Carefuly drive rear bearing forward until it will slide on shaft. Slide shaft to rear out of the gears and bearing. If there's a chance anythings not okay on transmission counter shaft I wouldn't recomend the last, because if there is a split at front will be needed anyway.
