Can anyone let me know where to find information on the Deering Jointed Platform used by the Deering Harvester Company on some of their binders in the mid-1890s. They seem to have disappeared by the time the Ideal Binder appeared in 1898 and are not mentioned in the Deering binder manuals of 1891. There is some reference to the Deering Jointed Platform at the Columbia Exhibition in 1894 but I cannot find any details. This feature was mentioned in some advertising literature on the Deering Pony Binder of 1894 and 1895.
