Probabaly what is happening here is the check valve is not seating and this allows Hyd. oil to drain back to the sump . Thus the steering wheel turns free and you have no manual steering . SOOOOooo ya need to get yourself a I T manual and study up on the system to affect repairs . Since i can not just run on out and do it for ya.
