I was told the engine is out of a 2444. It is in a 3414 backhoe. When I got the bd154 it had a cracked block and it had been taken apart about 8 years ago,so it has been a real project putting it back together. I was told it had been rebuilt shortly before it shot sparks out because of water in the oil on a cold morning, but from learning the hard way with wear to the bearings, I don't think that was true so I don't know how many hours it has, probably quite a few. The short time I had it running it sounded good and didn't smoke.
