Dan, it sounds to me like you have a 27-8 style 10-20. The first 23-26 10-20 had 2 exhaust pipes out of the hood side, one large and one small and right below the carb. The 27-8 had the pipe with a bulb muffler going through the rear hood sheet and no hole in the side curtain. the 29-39 10-20 had the exhaust going through a cast iron elbow in the corner of the side curtain and the manifold was dual fuel style. The earlier ones (23-28)were ment to run on kero only.
