I have been restoring the wiring in a 1983 484 using a wiring diagram that is close to my tractor but not exactly the same. (And if anyone wants a copy I can either mail or email a PDF file of what I have)
My machine has high/low beam headlights and the diagram I have is just for single beam lights. Right now, the ground wire to the lights isn't grounded and I cannot trace the ground wire back thru the harness to a common ground point.
Anyone out there with a 484 wiring diagram that could help me? Or could suggest where to look for the ground connection. There are four ground wires on an insulated post on the alternator but they do not seem to be part of the general grounding circuit.
